Who Doesn't Love a "Love Story?"
 Read this story - it will bring tears to your eyes. I believe that love is there for each one of us and the story of Cynthia Chessman and Michael Morton proves that this is so. Michael Morton, 58, spent nearly 25 years in state prison for a crime he did not commit: the murder of his first wife, Christine, who was found beaten to death in the bed of their North Austin home in 1986. More than two decades after his conviction, DNA testing on a blue bandanna found near his home shortly after the murder, showed the DNA of another man. With the help of his lawyers, as well as Barry Scheck, a founder of the Innocence Project (a charity that I contribute to), and others from the project, Mr. Morton was exonerated and released from prison.
Mr. Morton was 32 when he walked into state prison on March 4, 1987. When he walked out, on Oct. 4, 2011, he was 57 and ready to begin anew - enter Cynthia Chessman and the love story began. Read more here.

One of my treats in spring is the abundance of fresh asparagus - organic of course! Eating organic vegetables - just tastes better - not to mention healthier! Treat yourself to a nice bunch of fresh, steamed asparagus for dinner tonight.
1 lb. washed, fresh asparagus
Snap off the fibrous end (you will find the natural place to break it)
Steam for 2 - 3 minutes
Place onto white dinner plates
Serve with melted butter, a squeeze of lemon, and toasted, slivered almonds
