Virtual Gastric Band Training - ONLINE
November 7 & 8 from 9am-5pm PT
The actual medical gastric bypass procedure reduces the physical size of the stomach, and may achieve the same result, but The Virtual Gastric Band can be undertaken quickly and privately, without the lengthy delay of hospital waiting lists, and of course carries no costly invasive surgery, no risks and no on-going medical treatment. The VGB procedure has gained wide-spread interest and credibility in the UK with two medically-supervised, double-blind studies with a 95% success rate.

This hypnotherapy program convinces the brain that the stomach is full after a certain level of intake, and that there is no need for more food.
  • 95% Success Rate.
  • Stops Cravings.
  • Stops Late-Night Eating and Overeating.
  • Weight Loss Without Dieting or Deprivation!
Included in the training is Sheila Granger's manual with scripts for four sessions, CD support scripts, plus her marketing workbook, which allows professionals to begin working with clients immediately utilizing a successful, proven business model. These materials will be sent to you electronically prior to the class.

A Book I Like
Once in a while you meet someone who has written a book that encapsulates all of the elements of living life positively and engaging the "manifesting mind." This book is A Short Cut to Success: 3 Ancient Secrets to Getting Ahead and Creating an Amazing Life by Bob Huttinga PA.

Bob has featured significantly in my life as the Michigan-based physician assistant who introduced me to The Virtual Gastric Band program. This incredibly effective hypnosis technique has changed my life as a medical intuitive and health educator.

In his great book, Bob uses three ancient secrets to manifesting all you've ever wanted in your life, in an easy step by step process.

Delicious Banana Porridge
As you know my younger daughter is a great cook and loves to experiment and try out new recipes.

Like many smart young mothers, she does her best to keep meal options healthy and gluten free. She likes a series of cookbooks by Danielle Walker.

Here's a modified Banana Porridge recipe from: Against All Grain: Delectable Paleo Recipes to Eat Well and Feel Great.

If you've never soaked nuts, here's a great opportunity to make a great-tasting breakfast "porridge" using soaked nuts as a base.
  • ½ cup each: raw cashews, raw almonds and raw pecan halves.
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 half or a whole ripe banana (you could probably use another fruit such as a peach)
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1 or 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Place the nuts in a large bowl and sprinkle with salt. Add enough water to cover the nuts by at least one inch. Cover and soak the bowl of nuts overnight on your kitchen counter.

In the morning, drain the nuts and rinse several times until the water runs clear.

Place the drained nuts in a food processor and blend on high speed. Add the banana or peach, coconut milk and cinnamon and process until smooth.

Pour the porridge into a saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring frequently for 6 minutes or until thick.

Serve with a tablespoon of coconut milk and garnish with fresh raspberries.

Delicious Turkey Meatballs

Thanks to my friend Donna in Fairfield, Iowa, these turkey meatballs are a big favorite with everyone! I remember Donna creating a batch of these delicious turkey meatballs with her infant son playing with his toys at her feet! Time flies!
  •  1 lb ground turkey
  •  1 tbsp Braggs Aminos or Coconut Aminos (health food store item)
  •  2 slices 100% rye bread or gluten-free bread - crumbled (optional)
  •  2 stalks celery - finely chopped
  •  1 carrot - peeled and finely chopped
  •  1 beaten egg
  •  1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  •  2 tbsp olive oil Heat olive oil in a large skillet

Add chopped celery and carrot and sauté until partially cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Combine other ingredients, add cooked celery and carrot and form into balls. Fry in olive oil until golden brown. Turkey meatballs are great for breakfast, any meal, or as a hot or cold snack. Kids love them.

Note: You can omit the bread crumbs and the egg. Turkey meat balls are quite delicious made with plain turkey and the Braggs Amino flavoring. You can also omit the garlic powder.

Several Great Quotes to Lift Your Spirits and Ignite Your Optimism
Recently I attended a presentation about famous inventors who have changed the world. I like these quotes by Henry Ford. At the time, there was some criticism of Ford who went ahead with his inventions, without a formal education. But because he was free to think, he was able to be infinitely creative and invented the first automobile, without the intellectual constraints imposed on him by numerous nay-sayers! Here's what Ford said:

My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me.
It has been my observation that most people get ahead during the time that others waste.
Most people spend more time and energy going around problems than in trying to solve them.
There is no person living who isn't capable of doing more than he/she thinks they can do.
Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.

Clearing Out The Clutter
As you know for the past year, I have been working diligently to pare down and live from a more simple and steam-lined place. I have been inspired in this process by professional organizer Janet M Taylor.

Janet and I have enjoyed several interviews together. You can keep in touch with Janet every Monday night at 8pm on her podcast where she delivers great tips on cleaning up the clutter and getting organized.

Janet will be joining us in January for my Block Buster New Year's Detox Program where we focus on detoxification from a body, mind and soul perspective - a great start to 2016!
