Children Dealing with Violent Rage Posted on May 1st, 2011
If you saw Oprah’s program a few days ago about a violent 10-year-old boy who tried to kill his mother, you were probably shocked. Zach and his mother Laurie tell the harrowing tale of a boy who was consumed with rage that seemed to come out of nowhere. Zach would decimate his bedroom in a matter of minutes when he had an over-the-top tantrum. The parents devoted their entire existence to keeping his behavior under control. Their family life was in complete disarray. The boy is currently on medication and uses his own technique of visualization and “white light” to keep the negative voices away. There are many deeply disturbed people walking around. There are others who are in stages of disturbance. When I saw the pictures of Zach as a young child, I immediately knew he was milk allergic. I know what you’re saying, “That Caroline always believes that everyone is milk allergic.” But in his case, the milk allergy can turn on uncontrolled behavior. I have been closely connected with the work of Dr Doris Rapp, M.D., a pediatric allergist whose groundbreaking work with children with allergies is legendary. When you see the U Tube video of children being neutralized in Dr. Rapp’s clinic for a variety of allergens, you’ll see that this can happen to anyone. Children can have violent temper tantrums to milk, corn, dust mites, molds, food additives and chemicals among other things. These symptoms can be “turned off” by neutralizing the child for specific allergens. Zach would benefit from such treatments. As I look at the footage of Zack now, while he is stable on medication, I ask the question, “Has anyone tested him for food allergies.” You’ll be fascinated by the work of Alexander Schauss, PhD and his book, ”Diet, Crime and Delinquency” which documents the violent behavior of prison inmates when exposed to specific foods. Food allergy is a big deal. It affects memory, behavior and energy. Get your kids tested. Find out if you are poisoning them with common grocery store items – almost the biggest culprit is milk.
